Memories of Summer

The Last Refuge of the Scoundrel:

When the days become short, and night falls at 4:30 p.m., it's time for a road-trip into the magic land of summer memories!

The Pond awaits!

My old buddy, Loon, cruises around, diving occasionally for a tasty trout...

My trusty Squeaker Ball is always on the front porch!

Actually, there are several squeaker balls, 'cuz they get de-squeaked so easily.

Ms. Chicadee is never shy--she loves the sunflower seeds and chatters incessantly.

Lavender pickerel weed lines the shoreline.

"Little Toot" (my Mom, Bailey!) loves the water! She'll head off over the horizon and just keep going. The humans have to swim out and turn her around!

It won't be long...Summer's just around the corner. Right?

Luv,

Buster

No, Buster! I'm afraid that summer is gone for awhile! Don't you like snow? It's so much more fun to be cool than hot, don't you think?

Love ya lots,
Maggie

Hey Perephone & Buster!

I see that we have a lot of the same friends in common, and I thought it was time we knew each other.

My name is Stanley, and I'm an 18 month Aireboy who just got a little Lakeland Terrier sister (her name is Stella & she's almost 6 months old). Come by and visit me sometime. I'd love it if we could be buds.

Is it okay with you if I link to your blog?

Your new goober bud,
Stanley

I miss summer too, long hot days in the garden and the door to the house open all the time. Now I look from my window to the dull cold day knowing the light will be gone again soon. I will remember my summer months too, to get me through the cold winter nights.

Hi Guys
We're in Spring but it's so hot. Our weather over here in Oz is mixed up. I'm frightened of water coz I'm not used to it. Jessie, who is in Heaven, who I was fortunate to meet, loved to swim and mum often ended up, fully clothed, in mud and slime and water rescuing Jessie coz she had bad hip displaysia. Have a great weekend. Love from Hammer

Sorry, my mum left out some words and unfortunately, Jessie went to Heaven before I met her, and she never saw Beau again before she died. I hope I can see Beau again. Love from Hammer
