Autumn Comes to Subarctic Connecticut: Reflections by Bailey

Okay. I surrender.

Summer was long and lots of fun. A real, robust Rodentfest. Chipmunken
über alles.

I must move on...

Mother Nature is dropping hints everywhere.

The colors are turning to rusty browns, and certain gourmet meals with wings are brazenly parading around in driveways tormenting me!

Interlude: Here's Wendy this evening. Surveying her new domain like she owns it. But I won't eat her. This requires more self-control than you can imagine.

Bozo the Wonder Dog spends his days barking and scratching to go out. He loves propelling himself around the back yard at warp speed yapping at flying geese. When there's no one around to let him out, he simply impales himself against the door until the latch falls off and he's safely on the other side of it.

Dad adjourns to his favorite pools on the Farmington River to commune with the trout, the eagles, and the resident attack-beaver.

The college campus is developing a warm variety of colors.

And I'm ready to stop updating this blog and go chase squirrels in the back yard!

Tomorrow's forecast: Sunny and seasonable!

Best wishes,

Bailey

This autumn isn't very nice because it's raining here too much...
Hope you have nice and sunny autumn weather there!

J'aime l'automne pour les magnifiques couleurs de Mme la Nature. Votre automne ressemble très fortement au mien...
Bonne chasse. Besoin d'aide ?
