DISPATCHES FROM THE POND: A FIELD TRIP

Blogbuddies:

Just a quick report from the North Country.

Rainy days in New Hampshire last forever and test the patience of a breed of terrier not known for its patience.

As the clouds gather...

And the rain begins to sing its staccato song along the Pond...

TheBuster comes up with a brilliant idea!

I, Bailey, nod my agreement: THIS COULD BE FUN!

ROAD TRIP !

First, we travel down the old dirt road that runs westward down the mountain. The citizens of the "Live Free or Die" state are not known for their conformity.

We have a brief errand to perform. In fact, this is the highlight of the trip!

On a dreary day in the Monadnocks, the cogniscienti may be found in that most intriguing of places: the town dump!

"Why the dump?" you might ask. Precisely because the "Live Free or Die" state does not have ordinary dumps. In New Hampshire, even the local landfill is a work of art!

When we return to The Pond, the sun is out and the turtles are doing what turtles do.

God is in her heaven and all's well with the world.

Buster develops an urge to perform some Olympic-class dreaming...

And evening settles upon the firmament.

Tomorrow, we will eviscerate some squirrels.

Peace,

Bailey

What a nice evening at the pond! I wish we had better weather here so that we could go to small hiking in to the woods...
And yes Jane did cycling and I did trotting next to her...

Dad always says that you'd be amazed at what you can find at the town dump! We've never been so we wouldn't know about that!

Love ya lots,
