Brief Reflections on the All-Too-Slow Arrival of Spring

Ms. Bailey here, with a couple of spurious observations...

Warning: this will be pretty random!

1. The female of the species Canis familiaris is the natural predator. Do not be fooled by protestations to the contrary.

2. The male of the species is a natural clown. He has not lost his ability to create a full-length comic opera with no props other than a little round, yellow ball.

3. The only other species, to my knowledge, with an equal penchant for clowning is
Mergus merganser, a large diving duck with an outlandish appetite for fish and an instinct for general all-around silliness. Here's a quick clip taken by Buster on one of his Clown-Observation expeditions:

Enough for now... I'm still waiting for my primate mom to help me with an epistle of more substance. She's fallen asleep, so I guess we'll have to wait 'til tomorrow!

Ciao for now,

Bailey

Obviously the female hunts big game, while the silly male is obsessed with a yellow ball. A woman's work is never done.
