Hey, I'm back again! It's Buster, stealing some time at the keyboard--my mom is asleep, and it took me forever to crank up this cantankerous Macintosh.
Anyway, I thought I'd share a few more images of my time at the Pond with all my buddies.
If you've checked out my previous posts, you may have met Mr. Frog. I got a little closer, and he allowed me to catch him in his favorite pastime--skulking about in the mud!
Ms. Chickadee and all her friends come to the feeder constantly. They're not afraid of me or the humans. I just sit and watch, and they'll perch right beside me.
Alvin, my little rodent buddy, decided to change his venue from the back porch to the tree overlooking the pond. He's been gorging himself with sunflower seeds donated by the resident humans. He even lets Mom pull his tail while he's eating. Long winter coming...one can never be too careful about hoarding enough stuff to eat...
This is Jacques...Jacques-in-ze-Pulpit. He's a member of the Orchid family, I think. Some folks call him a Trilium. Funny-looking critter.
In late August and early September, Devil's Paintbrush appears along the roadsides and hills of New Hampshire. It's also called Orange Hawkweed (a perennial). Just like the sunrise!
Ah--I love lounging on the paddleboat at sunset! I never understood why those humans insist on working all the time!
A pleasant swim at the end of the day makes all the difference.
The Pond's a pretty place. I think the Celtic Mother-Goddess designed it especially with Kerry Blue Terriers in mind!
Your friend, Buster
